The glamorous wedding of Chloe Sawyer and Geoffrey Sheppard was styled with The Great Gatsby as inspiration.
The decadent day was filled with gold, shine and classy touches – not to mention their three gorgeous huskies in precious attire. “Anyone that knows us will tell you we have three kids, which is partially true,” explains Chloe, 27 or her and her beau, 30. “Our fur babies make our family perfect and our perfect day wouldn’t be complete without them – so when we started the hunt for the perfect location it was a must that we had somewhere they could be near.”
They chose Intercontinental Sanctuary Cove on Queensland’s coast, inviting 114 guests on October 15, 2016. Self-confessed perfectionist Chloe spent two years planning the big day – while also planning the perfect engagement party. “That was themed ‘fire and ice’ which went off like a bang – there was 180 close friends and family dressed in red and white to celebrate,” says Chloe.
Probably the most lush feature of their wedding – other than the stunning bride of course – was their cake. “Our 24-carat gold and white Gatsby-themed wedding cake stood the equivalent of 11 tiers high when you counted the amazing fresh flower topper,” smiles the bride.

If the bridesmaid’s gowns were anything to go by – this wedding was going to be a showstopper.
Intercontinental was more than accommodating for this couple’s pets.
“We met at his friends 21st and I knew he was a keeper when he spent the night holding my hair back,” laughs Chloe of Geoff.
“I’d do it all again just to have that 12 hours of perfection!” smiles Chloe.
Chloe emerged for the reception in a second Maggie Sottero gown, with Christian Louboutin platform heels and a gorgeous deco-inspired headpiece.
The couple’s dogs even had a special place on their wedding cake!
